We recently organised onsite training sessions at our Hydrogen Dune, bringing together our team and local response teams. This initiative from our H2 Academy aimed to enhance safety protocols and emergency preparedness.

Training highlights:

  • Dedicated training for over 70 local professionals
  • Comprehensive safety drills and emergency response exercises
  • Hands-on training with our state-of-the-art hydrogen production equipment
  • Collaborative sessions to strengthen coordination between our team and different first responders

The diverse group of 73 trainees included:

  • firefighters from the fire brigades of the Airport, Walvis Bay, Swakopmund and Arandis
  • traffic officers from the municipalities of Swakopmund and Walvis Bay
  • participants from the MVA Fund
  • employees from Cleanergy Solutions Namibia and CMB.TECH Namibia; and
  • training companies such as SkillSeet, Westfire and Africa Fire Rescue 24.

Additionally, participants from higher education institutions such as NIMT (Namibian Institute of Mining & Technology) and NUST (Namibia University of Science and Technology) were part of the group.

We are grateful for the collaboration and dedication shown by all participants at our H2 Academy. We strongly believe that investing in safety training is crucial for the well-being of our employees and the community. Thank you to H2K for sharing expertise!
