UNAM and Cleanergy focus on development of green hydrogen skills, as highlighted during last week's site visit by the presidents of Namibia and Botswana.

As one of the speakers, UNAM Vice Chancellor Prof Kenneth Kamwi Matengu underscored the importance of developing skills at the PhD, Masters, and TVET levels in the green hydrogen sector.

"It's very important to invest in upskilling and skills development because we are embarking on a very big journey in a new industry where the skills are not yet present in the country, and as we grow, we want to invest in those skills. By the time we reach the large projects, we will have Namibians in the industry familiar with these types of technologies," explains Elke Krafft from the Cleanergy Development Committee.
